As of late I've been very curious to understand the music in Mozambique and it's effects on History.

I know that Music and Dance have always been the main gate towards self-expression and the building of an identity which culminates in the rise of a Revolution, a new Nation. It's crucial to understand the impact of propaganda and how it was maneuvered through Hymns and Chants that the freedom fighters used to sing just before each battle, each celebration, each moment of lament, prosperity and hope.

I came across a few of these old hymns from socialist Mozambique from around 1964 to 1975. I find these sound archives as golden and they really shine a bright light that gives life to some of the symbols of propaganda that used to be distributed and collected around that time.

In spite of that, I've took the liberty to recreate some of these hymns and make the voice of each fighter and member of the evolution as loud as possible.
